Trust & Security
This page is maintained by the Nemo team to answer common security and privacy questions about Nemo. It is editable project content — not an independent certification or audit.
Accounts & authentication
Nemo accounts are protected by email and password sign-in, with optional Google sign-in. Sessions are managed by our backend provider and stored securely in your browser.
You can reset your password at any time from the sign-in page, or delete your account by contacting us at support@asknemo.ca.
Data in transit & at rest
All traffic to Nemo is served over HTTPS (TLS). Account data, translation session metadata, and contact-form submissions are stored in a managed Postgres database hosted by our backend provider, with encryption at rest provided by that platform.
Row-level security policies restrict access so each signed-in user can only read and modify their own records.
What we collect
We keep what is needed to run the service:
- Account information (email, display name, avatar URL)
- Translation session metadata (start/end time, duration) — used for usage limits and billing
- Subscription and billing status
- Messages you send through the contact form
Live voice translation is processed in real time to power the conversation. We do not sell your data.
Subprocessors & integrations
Nemo relies on a small set of trusted providers:
- Lovable Cloud — application hosting, authentication, and managed Postgres database
- Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing (card details are handled by Stripe, not Nemo)
- Lovable AI Gateway — AI model access for translation
Retention & deletion
Account, subscription, and session data are kept while your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email support@asknemo.ca from the address on your account.
You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in any message we send, or by visiting /unsubscribe.
